Scones, cakes, butlers and a little bit of voodoo.
Last weekend Given To Live were invited to Farm Festival to fundraise as site butlers and also we had the opportunity to invite people we've taken to shows or will be taking in the future.
And also the indefatigable Bev who volunteered at our stand providing the most wonderful scones, jams, brownies and fudge that drew crowds to our marquee and flew off the butler's tray at a stunning rate.
We had Declan who we took to see Slipknot in February with us as our guest and he also took time out to fundraise and tell people about GTL. Warren who will be at Bloodstock next Sunday was also a guest on the Friday as well as Joe and Linsey who live in the same supported house. Seeing their smiles as they told us about the bands they'd seen before heading home with their support workers was a highlight for all of us. We also had Caitlin and Fiona and her family with us as our guests and their stories will be going up in the coming weeks.
Long days and tired legs meant we didn't get to see much of the festival but we had time to see our friends Idles play a blistering set and also took in My Baby's kind of voodoo.
We're so grateful to Farm Festival for having us.http://www.farmfestival.co.uk
To Simon, Bronte and Steve from Party For The People thank you all so much for your help and support. We hope we can do it all over again next year.
For the last year the Foo Fam, a Facebook group with members from all four corners of the globe, has been supporting Given To Live.
